In an interview to a Swedish newspaper Jonas Akerlund declared that his “American Life” video is the coolest thing he did this year. Speaking about Madonna he said:
“To work creatively with someone who has so many ideas and that has become a close friend, is by far the most fun work you can do. To challenge someone creatively and to be treated like something more than a ‘director for hire’. By far the most coolest project I’ve done“.
