Alchemic Madonna

Today’s UK paper “The Daily Express” reveals that Madonna is in talks to play the part of the dream analysing gipsy in the film “The Alchemist“, adapted from the succesful book by Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho. The “revelation” came from Coelho himself. At a book launch in London, he revealed that “Madonna is going to play the gipsy who interprets dreams in the book, but that’s not quite finalised as yet.” Recently Madonna called The Alchemist “a beautiful book about magic, dreams and the treasures we seek elsewhere and then find on our doorstep“. British actor Jeremy Irons will also be part of the cast.Paulo Coelho became a worldwide famous author with his 1993 symbolic masterpiece, The Alchemist, the story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy that with the help of several enchanted strangers (among them there’s the gipsy, the role that Madonna is likely to play), learns to listen to himself.
