Dave Houge Award for Madonna
Yesterday night Madonna received the inaugural Dave Houge Award, in honor of her artistic courage and outstanding dedication to the LAByrinth Theater Company during the benefit gala Celebrity Charade at the Daryl Roth Theatre in Union Square in New York City. Receiving the award from the hands of Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz, she spent a few minutes on stage for an informal and intimate acceptance speach, talking about her experience with the Company, when she teamed with LAByrinth producing team for the West End premieres of the original New York production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’s Jesus Hopped The A Train at the Donmar and the Arts Theatre in London, in year 2002.
