E!ONLINE CONFIRMS VIDEO WITH BRITNEY
Besides joining Britney in the new video and hawking Gap gear with Missy Elliott, Madonna has most recently been focusing on educating a decidedly different batch of young’uns. Last week, she debuted The English Roses, the first of five new children’s books authored by the singer.
In typical over-the-top Madonna fashion, more than 1 million copies in 30 different languages simultaneously hit bookstores in 100 countries. In connection with the release, the singer made promotional visits to London, Paris and then back to the U.S. for an Oprah Winfrey appearance. (The singer’s madonna.com Website notes that while there was some “bumping and grinding with Oprah” during the visit, “there’s no Madonna-Oprah lip-lock.”)
Madonna’s second kiddie book, Mr. Peabody’s Apples, will be released worldwide on November 10.
