Hollywood Video – Madonna Tribe’s Review

Ok, Madonna and Mondino did it again. After watching the video of Hollywood we feel swept away. The main storyline is about four main characters played by Madonna, each with a different air color and from a different era. A platinum blond, cold hearted rich woman, a red headed hysterical woman, another blond girl from the seventies very “american pieish” and a latin type brunette. They all live in “Hollywood”, a city that is also perceived as a state of mind, and in a way or another they are all desperately trying to escape “tinsel town“. A place where you must be what other people tell you to be and where you have to look the way people want you to look (we see a Madonna with an Evita look while she’s getting botox). All the Madonna characters in the video, build up an hysterical crescendo which ends up with the platinum blond one unplugging a tv set. The final, black and white scene shows a brunette Madonna paying homage to herself, hitch-hiking (this time fully clothed) on the street to escape the city.
Well what more we can say. Madonna Tribe gives Hollywood thumbs up!!
