Madonna and Louis Verdad
Louis Verdad, is one of the new and hot talents in fashion. Celebrities from Madonna and Jennyfer Lopez to Milla Jovovich and Faith Hill love his clothes.
Madonna recenlty used a lot of Verdad’s clothes, both for public appereances and tv programs. The outfit used during the unfamous “kiss” performance on stage during the latest MTV Awards was an original creation by Louis Verdad.
“Madonna is the ultimate eternal diva of our times,” says Verdad to Lincoln Road magazine. “She needed someone who understood the particular look she needed to achieve, and she knows the edge of my ckothes, which are drastically feminine, with a tremendous touch of masculinity.
For the Mtv awards show Madonna wanted an androgynous look, something that refects her state of mind, a masculine, seductive look. Madonna truly represents the style of our times.
Verdad is inspired by the great female stars of the 40s and 50s
and by mexican art and Madonna is now one of his biggest fans.
She recently declared:” I think he is an amazing talent, I love the lines of his clothes, very femenine and he understands how a woman wants to look in a suit”
Madonna also wore a Verdad suit and various accessories during her American Life promo tour.
Verdad also created Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera‘s dresses for the same Mtv performance. He recently declared to the “LA Daily News” that he prefers Christina to Britney.
He stated: “I dressed Christina before and she’s great”. “That was my first time with Britney and… I don’t think I’ll ever do it again. She’s just not the kind of costumer I love to dress. I always say the life a lot of people lead is smog: When it disappears, there’s nothing left. A lot have substance. A lot don’t. I prefer substance”.
