Madonna Portraits from her Children Books
The English Roses, Madonna‘s first release of a series of five children’s book published by Callaway Editions, marked the beginning of a new tradition that sees the illustrator of each book creating a portrait of Madonna, each in their unique style.
The first portrait was made by Jeffrey Fulvimari in the style of the characters created for “Roses”.
Madonna Tribe proudly premiered online Loren Long‘s portrait of Madonna.
The painting especially created by Long for the promotion of Madonna’s second children’s book Mr Peabody’s Apples was presented at the Storytime With Madonna Day event at Borders and seems inspired by a photography by Craig McDean.

Madonna Tribe is proud to preview to its readers the portrait of Madonna by Russian artist Gennady Spirin, illustrator of her new book “Yakov and the seven Thieves“.
Spirin follows in the tradition of the illustrators of Madonna’s previous children’s tales, Jeffrey Fulvimari and Loren Long, that have also made a portrait of the books’ author in their unique style.
