The English Roses media blitz is about to start. Madonna Tribe can reveal for the first time on a Madonna Website, official major events in the United States, linked to the book’s promotion.

THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW
– Madonna will make an hour-long appearance, including an in-depth interview with Oprah Winfrey, to be broadcast September 16, 2003.
AMAZON.COM
– Will launch pre-order sales on September 3rd with an exclusive audio message by Madonna prior to publication date.
– Will promote the book on Amazon.com’s homepage and via a national media campaign.
BARNES & NOBLE / B. DALTON
– Will have an in-store appearance by Madonna at its Rockefeller Center store, scheduled for the last week of September.
– Will display window posters, banners, and stanchions in 645 Barnes & Noble stores and 260 B. Dalton stores nationwide.
– Will showcase The English Roses in specially themed window
displays in Santa Monica, CA and New York, NY.
BORDERS GROUP
– Will feature custom-designed English Roses floor-standing point-of-purchase displays in 417 stores nationwide.
– Is cross-promoting the book in the music section of its stores with specially-designed signage.
CHINABERRY
– The prestigious children?s literature catalog and website will offer its customers an exclusive, frameable print from The English Roses, signed by the illustrator.
GAP
– The English Roses will be available at select GapKids stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France.
– GapKids is designing an exclusive English Roses tote bag as a gift with any purchase of $75 (in the U.S. purchase must include the book).
COSTCO / SAM’S CLUB / BJ’S
– The English Roses will be featured in all three price clubs
nationwide.
– Sam’s Club will feature the book in its holiday catalog and in its 500 stores.
SCHOLASTIC
– Will carry the book in its top-tier school fairs nationwide and in three of its national clubs’ Holiday Gift Books, Seesaw Book Club, and Club Leo for Spanish language.
