3 ACC shows sell out in 80 minutes
Our correspondent from Canada, Torontoboy informs us about an article by Jane Stevenson on today’s Toronto Sun:
Toronto is hot for Madonna.
The Material Girl’s first visit to T.O. in 11 years won’t be short. Tickets for
her announced July 18 show at the Air Canada Centre were in such demand on the
weekend that two more concerts were instantly added. Those July 19 and 21 shows
also sold out.
All in just an hour and 20 minutes. The three sellouts appear to be a first in
the concert history of the arena, which opened in 1999.
The Tragically Hip were the first act to play back-to-back soldout gigs at the
ACC. Others include Shania Twain and U2.
Madonna’s so-called Reinvention tour begins May 24 in L.A
