A Belgian concert in the making?

“Madonna has to make way for Museeuw,” so Belgian newspaper “Het Nieuwsblad” headlined yesterday.

“Herman Schueremans, concert organiser and cycle-racing fan, was at Johan Museeuw’s goodbye party when he got a phonecall from Madonna’s manager. “Sorry, call back tomorrow. Today only one man is important : Johan Museeuw”, is the reply the good man [sic] got.”

Of course the reply is most likely a macho version of what was really said, but if Schueremans did get the phonecall, then perhaps this means a concert in Werchter, the famous location of the legendary Torhout/Werchter festival, is being or will be negotiated.
Needless to say, we don’t even know if the phonecall actually happened or was just invented to spice up the article on cycle-racing hero Museeuw.
