A league of Their Own Special Edition Dvd Released Today in the Us

The two-disc Special Edition DVD of “A League of Their Own” is released today in the US by Columbia TriStar.

Columbia has put together a great assortment of extras on Disc Two. Among them the first US release of Madonna’s “This Used To Be My Playground video on DVD. The clip was only available on the Region 2 release of the disc so far.

15 deleted scenes are included on the bonus disc with some interesting subplots like Marla Hooch’s pregnancy, and Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks) trying to kiss Dottie (Geena Davis) explaining her sudden decision to leave at one point. Director Penny Marshall provides intros to these scenes.
