A night to remember
Hello Tribers!!!
I’m back from my seventh Madonna concert and I must say that tonight was very special because…. I had the luck to be in dance pit!!!
I finally had the chance to meet Allison, the girl in charge of the pits and everything I heard about her was true. She is amazing and she does her job in a terrific way. Sweet and bossy at the same time.
As soon as we got “the rules” from her we were taken to the left pit and met the bodyguards and started to chat with a nice guy from Australia and two Italians, Denis and Nicola (hello guys!).
At ten to nine it was finally show time. While The beast within was one we saw Madonna preparing to come out from under the stage. With Vogue everyone was dancing and singing and trying reminding Allison’s words: You must give the energy to Madonna.
Starting Burning up she said once again “It’s f*cking hot in here”, few songs later one of the bodyguards in the pit dressed up in jacket and tie said more or less the same thing.
During Deeper and Deeper, Siedah Garreth noticed one of her fishnets were broken and made Madonna see it and they laughed.
I must say Madonna is so beautiful in person, her eyes full of lights are amazing.
Donna De Lory and Siedah Garreth were having so much fun during the show with the other band members and dancers. They interacted a lot with us. Donna was always sending kisses when we called her and Siedah who seemed a bit shy at first was very sweet and comunicative.
The sound from the pit is not very good, for techical reasons, but being there is just an experience of a lifetime. It was nice to see Madonna in front of us talking after Papa don’t preach. She said: There’s not place like home, just like in the Virgin Tour video, and then added that she isn’t making the “do it better” T-shirts for every country she visits. She said she did the Italian one because she is “Italians” and the “Britts” because this is her home.
At the end of holiday, everyone on stage was having so much fun. Siedah instead of singing one of her verses with Donna, put the microphone in front of one of the dancers and made him sing instead.
I wish to thank the incredible Sharon and Jamesy for being so supportive and “for everything else”, and for making us feel home.
I would also take the chance to say hello to all the guys we met at the Manchester and London shows who made us proud to be Madonna fans.
