Alun, re-invented
Yesterday, our reader Alun attended at the last show at the Wembley Arena in London. Here’s his review:”August 26th @ Wembley Arena
From the moment the lights went out I was standing I was just over half way back in block 5 row Q seat 70.
I did not sit down one during the show and well and truly got into the Groove with our great lady M.
This was my 2nd show after seeing at EC on 18th. Once Madonna was on Stage doing the Vogue I knew that W was a better venue than EC (in my eyes) you feel closer and more involved that the middle block of 21 at EC.She proves no mater what she is the best, what I would have given at that time to have been in A2,3,4 in the first couple of rows or even better in the Pits.
The whole show was great, highlights were when she was on the catwalk thing and was closer to me that the fans in the pits and I could really see her fairly close up.
The papa don’t preach and crazy for you bit where she cried on stage was emotional for not just M but also the whole crowd Inc me. Crazy for you is my all time fav some and it’s so good to hear her do this live (2nd time since 18th at EC)
Her Voice was the best I’d heard and I’ve seen her live at each tour since 1987. And when the 2hours were over it was all to quick, I’d love to see her on Paris or somewhere but that’s not going to happen so I have now to wait for the DVD.
After the show I was waiting about outside when I saw the Madonna Documentary camera crew.
I was interviews by them and now just hope with fingers crossed for however long I need that its used on the film. And hope Madonna watches this and hears what I thought about the show, and my little reel of tape about me as a fan and my idol.
Long Live Madonna and hears hoping that in 2008 we will all be watching her live agan at her 50th Birthday party tour !”Special thanks to Alun
