Borderline co-star played same Madonna venue on May 29th

Madonna Tribe reader Joseph informed us that at the bar stage in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 29th singer Louie Louie performed with his band.
Madonna fans might remember him as the guy playing her boyfriend in her first ever video, Borderline, directed in 1983 by Mary Lambert.

Louie was chosen to be in the video by a casting director on an audition for a movie about breakdance. Louie met Madonna, the two clicked immediately and he got the job.
Apparently one day Madonna heard him sing in the car and said, “Oh my God you sing too. We’re gonna be the new Olivia Newton John and Travolta of Hollywood.”
