Britain’s top mum survey

It was a busy day all round for the McFadden family yesterday, as, hours after Bryan announced he was quitting boy band Westlife, his wife Kerry was named as Britain’s favourite celebrity mum.

The newly-crowned queen of the jungle topped a poll commissioned by satellite network UKTV, beating Victoria Beckham and Madonna to the top spot.

In a survey of more than 1,000 mums, Kerry picked up 18 per cent of the vote.

Mother of three-year-old Molly and Lily Sue, aged one, the former member of pop group Atomic Kitten secured her place in the nation’s heart after spending two weeks in the jungle for reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here…..

Fourth spot in the poll of favourite mothers was captured by a man – Sir Bob Geldof. Considered as somewhat of an ” honorary mum,” , he secured six per cent of the vote.

Meanwhile, Kerry’s former band members were in Belfast last night for one of their final gigs.

Atomic Kitten played the Odyssey Arena in what was an emotional farewell before they go their separate ways this weekend.
