Madonna, the musical Mother of Reinvention, is poised to strike again.
Her last tour, The Drowned World Tour, was serious and artsy, focusing on grand themes and elaborate experimental dance numbers.
This time out, she’s gonna show us her hits. Madonna will rework her best known songs (let’s not forget that she’s had 35 Top 10 singles, one away from tying Elvis Presley for the all-time lead) for the “re-Invention” tour.
She is rumored to be switching the lyrics to “Vogue“, in which she name-drops pals Britney Spears and Missy Elliott.
She can also trot out a mash-up of “Into the Groove” and “Hollywood“, a rocking, guitar-fueled version of “American Life” and a house version of “Like a Prayer“. Considering her track record, who knows what else she has in the works?
