Eyes like Jewels
Madonna is featured today on AOL, this time not with a tour-related news, but with an article that shows how she has evolved style wise throughout her career.
The article – in collaboration with In Style – contain this interesting passage by Maria Shollenbarger:
Madonna
If “celebrity transformation” were a dictionary term, the entry would read “Madonna.”
In the past decade alone, the pop star and actress became a yogini, a Kabbalah enthusiast and a children’s book author. In her current
Re-Invention tour she invokes Marie Antoinette.
“She embraces huge changes
completely,” says hairstylist Luigi Murenu. His favorite look? “Her 1998 Ray of Light era. Her inner happiness showed.”
Makeup artist Tom Pecheux agrees: “She was glamorous but soft. We made her tan for the first time, and her skin was super-polished.”
The one constant in her evolving image: “Those amazing eyes,” Pecheux says. “I almost always line them. They’re like jewels.”
Says Murenu, “She’s way ahead of us all. By the time the rest of the world is raving about the ‘new’ Madonna, she’s bored and ready to move on.”
