First Lady
MadonnaTribe reader Eric Brusch from Chicago, Illinois USA was browsing the site when he came across our section with scans of artwork by TribeMembers. This brought to mind a piece he did in college back in 1991. Here’s what he says about it:
“It is a woodblock print on rice paper (18″x24”) titled “First Lady.” The title is not only appropriate because of the subject matter, but the quote around the border is attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt.
It actually sounds like something Madonna might say and is very fitting for the journey she has
taken in the 13 years since I created this piece. It has brought back many fond memories of that time.”
“The purpose of life, after all,
is to live it, to taste experiences to the outmost,
to reach out eagerly and without fear
for newer and richer experiences.”
And here is his brilliant artwork, “First Lady“, by Eric Brusch. Click on the image to enlarge.
