From the media in Portugal
Portugal is a frensy today about Madonna’s tour. Our staf member and forum moderator Pam Anderson has translated for us a couple of articles from the portuguese media.
THE CONFIRMATION
Madonna at the Atlantic on September 12th
Madonna, just like Público announced yesterday, will perform live in Portugal for the first time in September. In yesterday’s article, we assured that only the inexistence of a covered space available to receive the September 8th and 9th shows could prevent the singer from coming to Portugal. We also mentioned that the Atlantic Pavillion, in Lisbon, was already taken for those two dates, making it possible for other options to be considered.
Therefore, and now it is official, Madonna will perform in the Atlantic Pavillion, but on September 12th. Together with her, according to the organisation taking care of the event, will travel 12 TIR trucks to carry all her material (including 68 tons of equipment which will be hanging from the ceiling). A huge show in perspective, which is part of the re-Invention Tour. A date to start selling the tickets has not been set yet.

MADONNA IN LISBON ON SEPTEMBER 12TH
North-American singer Madonna, one of the few great music artists who never played in Lisbon, will finally do a concert amongst us: the date is September 12th and the venue Atlantic Pavillion.
This information was confirmed to Correio da Manhã by Ricardo Casimiro, from Tournée, the promoter of the first Portuguese Madonna show. According to that spokesman, the tickets for the show will soon be on sale, although prices have not been decided yet.
Along with the singer will come 12 TIR trucks transporting material (from the ceiling alone will be hanging 60 tons of equipment) and a staff made up by 100 people, including 56 security guards, 12 dancers and 5 musicians. Her children (Rocco and Lolla) will also be entitled to a playroom backstage.
