Front row baby!
Well, what can I say a good time was definatly had by all 6 of us flying all the way from Vancouver BC in Canada on may 30th to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas!
In the weeks before our show I had been trying despretly to not look at anything that would spoil the show for us, but I had heard about a guy at the LA show who was brought up to the 8th row on the floor by “a guy in a cowboy hat” and could only ever wish that it could ever happen to me and my friends.
We had this plan that we would dress up in all white t-shirts or tank tops, we would choose our favorite M album and put the cover on our shirts and dress up in the look of that time. We worked our butts off and we put togeather some fab outfits, once we were all done up and togeather we looked super awsome.
Anyway we finaly made our way from our hotel to the MGM, once inside we made our way inside to buy the coveted “Madonna’s my Home Girl T“. By the time we actualy got to purchase the shirts it was 8:05, I was sooo worried we would miss the begining. Eventualy we got our shirts and said our “see ya laters” and agreed that once in our seats we would give a “shout out” to each other so we could see where we all where sitting. Dextor and I sat in the U7 and Julie, Michelle, Bj and Roxy where up higher above us.
Dextor and I made it to our seats and looked up and found the rest of the gang we where yelling at each other and just plain excited. A few minutes after that all I could hear was the gang screaming and shouting. I looked up at them and they where yelling “We got some!!!” and sure enough right beside them was “a guy in a cowboy hat“. I freaked I started to shake and get sooo excited, the people around me got a little worried and kept asking me if I was ok, what was wrong? In complete shock I told them that I was going to the floor!!! They all asked if they could have our old seats haha! I told ya go for it!
Dextor and I made our way down to the floor to meet the rest of the gang. I was shaking so bad that I could not even walk through the people in the row. Once we made it down to the floor the gang all had huge smiles on their faces. “The guy only had 5 tickets for row B” they said, “But he gave us 1 other ticket that we all totaly want you to have”. They handed me the ticket and I started to get tears in my eyes, it was row A seat 19!!!! Yes! I finaly was gonna be closer to my idol than ever before, I finaly was gonna get to see her with my own eyes not on a huge screen!!! We all made our way to our seats, once I had actualy made it to my seat I couldnt believe how close I was. Man!!!!
Once the show started she came out and gave one hell of a show, she was soooooo beautiful, more then I had ever thought. During Imagine she came over and sang a verse right at me, then winked at me and smiled. All through the show I sang every song and Donna kept making funny faces at me and laughing cause I new all the words to all the songs!
We all had exciting moments, Dextor was up on the screen, and at the point when M takes of her Kabbalists do it better shirt and tosses it to the audience, she had looked at BJ and Julie and nodded at them and tossed it right at them. They caught it and had it in their hands, when this girl (that was sitting the entire show) snatched it out of their hands and then sat back down for the rest of the show!!! ggrrrrr!
After an amazing show the film crew for the documentry came down to us and interveiwed us all!!! man what a night! definatly one that I will never, ever, ever forget for the rest of my life!
When I finaly got to thank the infamous “man in a cowboy hat” on my way out. All he said to me was that the tickets where compliments from Madonna, don’t thank me thank her she wanted you to have them!!!
Thank you Madonna! sooooooo much! No words can ever say how much we all apreciated the amazing time and memories you gave us!!!!
Thank you!
Thanks Jason for sharing your exeperience with the M-Tribe!
