Go Slane Go
Meath County Council has formally granted a licence for the Madonna concert at Slane Castle this year.
The gig is due to take place on August 29 and will be first Sunday concert at the Co Meath venue since Bob Dylan performed in the 1980s.
About 30,000 tickets have already been sold. The licence for the concert stipulates that gates may be opened prior to 2pm if gardaí advise it on the day and also that locals shall have unrestricted access to the village for religious services on Sunday.
