Madonna has seldom given an in-depth interview to a woman, so it should be quite something Friday night when she talks to ABC‘s Cynthia McFadden on “20/20“.
The show will air exclusive footage from this amazing star’s “Re-Invention” tour, opening tonight in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
I am told this 10 p.m. interview is remarkably candid and personal. (Her rep, Liz Rosenberg, says “It’s honest. It’s the best Madonna has ever been with an interviewer“). The queen of pop, the singer, composer, cultural icon and onetime outrageously sexual provocateur discusses her solid family life with husband Guy Ritchie and her children, her immersion in Kaballah, her latest children’s book and the benefits of growing older. I hear she has a few things to say on the political side of life as well.
Madonna says her new book, “Yakov and the Seven Thieves“, is dedicated to “naughty children everywhere. Even the naughtiest person in the world, big or small, has the capacity to do something good in the world“.
And, yes, she refers to herself as “naughty child, No. 1!”
