Just Take Me To The Venue
For several years, BMW of North America, Inc. has sponsored a nationwide program to raise funds to support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment initiatives as well as to increase awareness of the importance of early detection. The Ultimate Drive program features two cross-country caravans of specially marked BMW cars that take the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation message to the streets of America. Guests are invited to test drive the vehicles to raise money for the Komen Foundation at BMW retail centers across the nation.
The 2002 Ultimate Drive edition featured a special attraction – a BMW M5 autographed by Madonna. The Madonna-autographed M5 was featured in “Star,” the fourth film from the critically acclaimed bmwfilms.com series “The Hire” starring Clive Owen, that premiered in June 2001.
Individuals also had the opportunity to win the Madonna-autographed vehicle – through a $10 donation – when the Ultimate Drive ended in October 2002.
And now there it is, on auction on ebay.
The M5 was signed by Madonna on the dashboard trim above the glovebox (click the third and fourth picture below to enlarge) and comes with the rear seat cushion that Madonna sat on wrapped in plastic with another cushion installed in the car.
