Klein: Madonna knows the answer better than me

In an article about the upcoming Steven Klein exhibition in Berlin
the photographer candidly admits he doesn’t know why Madonna wanted to work with him in the first place. To the question he simply answears: “I don’t know, Madonna probably knows the answer better than me.”

Apparently Madonna first contacted Klein to introduce herself and to ask for a photoshoot with him. She asked him to work on a promotional photo shooting for her album “American Life“.

This is a sort of interesting tidbid for those fans who were always convinced that the original “Madonna Unbound” photosession was somehow meant to be the original imagery for Madonna’s “American Life” album, before “being replaced” by the Craig McDean pictures and the MMParis artwork.
