Last American Night In Miami A Blast And A Half!
Hey Madonnatribe!
Madonna” brought the house down on her last night in America for the Re-Invention Tour, and Miami stepped it up and then some!
The One and Only gave it up, was having a blast and half, and what’s even better, the crowd at the last night on Monday at the American Airlines Arena in Miami was a wild one. The house’s energy was a-freakin’-mazing, and you know what, she must’ve felt because hers was too!
Personally, third time was the charmed as I got lucky and was standing and dancing and singing right in the smack of it all – 4th row, baby, stage left. Sure, Madonna favors the right side of stage, but to just be down there mere feet away from this amazingly talented and sexy lady, well…that’s a kind of high I have never experienced.
Her performance was yet another solid 46, and that’s putting it mildly. I’ve been very fortunate – I went to the July 29th show in Fort Lauderdale, and to Sunday’s show in Miami as well. The energy and rapport between us and Madonna was the kind that boils…ever increasingly and hotter every time. Miami was on fire as she said during “Burning Up.” Miami definitely did it best!
I think I’ve said quite a bit about the show in reviews past, but here’s yet a different (and this time up close) perspective. “Nobody Knows Me” is one of my favorites now, no doubt about it. When she came to the left side of the stage and used the bars to hold herself…I’ve never jumped so high! I figured she was giving it up, I might as well do the freakin’ same. The rock set was awesome, and I loved seen “American Life” right in front of me. She’s totally revitalize and re-invented it with so much more energy, and that’s saying a lot. She asked for help remembering the lyrics to “Material Girl” but didn’t forget them, she just told us repeatedly to sing along louder! And “Express Yourself“…fan-freakin’-tastic.
Same goes for “Into The Groove” and “Papa Don’t Preach,” I mean, the choreography is so intricate. She’s a great dancer, the tango during “Die Another Day” is gorgeous, and so is she. Madonna has a hot body and such a wonderfully playful smile, which she was very happy to flash for Miami.
Missy was not only on the M-I-C last night, she was in the house. Madonna thanked her for being a part of her show, and then urged us once again – cue the “Vote or Die!” T-shirt – to “get up and fucking vote…[to not] leave the decision-making in this country to the wrong people, [and] take some responsibility!!!” Miami went mad in agreement.
It was a very emotional show for me, because it was the last in America for this tour and I was there, and because I got very lucky with my ticket (thanks Paul and Tom, you’re suckers no more…LOL!), and because she was right there for the “get up out of your ass, Miami” song – “Like a Prayer.” I love that song, and though I was sad she did “Nothing Fails” (a top fave of mine) and “Crazy For You” – cue in the Italians Do It Better shirt – on the opposite end of the stage, I still got chills, which didn’t happen in previous nights. Those two made me think of someone who was in the Arena, someone I wasn’t with. I got all choked up a bit, though you couldn’t tell from my dancing and yelling, but still. In the end I thought, remembering “American Life” and “Express Yourself,” Fuck it! Fancy cars that go very fast, they never last, no, no! LOL.
So listen up Europe, Madonna is on her way to fuck you up. Yell your little hearts out, dance your little butts off, and sing as loud as you can. This has been an amazing experience that I was lucky to be a part of three times. I can die now…I’ve seen and been a tiny part of the legend. Better yet, I’ll take her advice, I’ll keep re-inventing myself, and I’m sure I’ll be a better person for that… or (I hope) she’ll fuck me up!!!
Have fun!”
