Like A Virgin Kazuko veil in Rock & Roll Memorabilia auction
A veil of ivory silk chiffon worn by Madonna as part of her bridal costume in the promotional video for “Like A Virgin,” 1984, estimated to bring as much as $2,500 – will be part of what Christie’s said on Wednesday was its biggest auction of show business memorabilia, with over 400 lots from Rock and Pop legends from all over the world, including The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Kurt Cobain and Keith Richards.
The veil, made by innovative Japanese designer Kazuko, is trimmed at the edges with pearls and vintage silver beads. Accompanied by images of Madonna wearing the veil in her video, it comes from the private collection of Kazuko.
