Los Angeles
Let’s take a closer look at the first venue of Madonna’s re-Invention Tour.
The Great Western Forum is located in Inglewood, in the surroundings of Los Angeles, and despite its name it looks more like Hollywood or Las Vegas than anything Roman. Previously know primarily as the home of the Los Angeles Kings ice hockey or Los Angeles Lakers basketball, the arena also hosts special events including – of course – music concerts, with a maximum capacity of 18.000.
Sports teams have since moved to the newer Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles where Madonna played during the Drowned World Tour.
Two level seating is often setup in an end arrangement for concerts. Parking is ample and close but be sure to park in one of the secured parking lots.
Madonna has been using the Forum for the final dress rehearsal of the tour after being rehearsing at Culver City studios during the last months.
Directions: East of San Diego Freeway. Southeast corner of Manchester Boulevard and Praire Avenue. Takes up the entire block. Multiple entrances to parking which surrounds the building on all sides.
