Lourdes reads with mother for sick kids
Madonna surprised sick kids at Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday by reading to them from her own book.Madonna was joined by her seven-year-old daughter Lourdes at the London hospital as she read from Yakov And The Seven Thieves. It is Madonna’s third children’s book in a series of five. A hospital spokeswoman said:‘Madonna was really friendly and she made everyone’s day. She is very involved in the hospital and even donated Rocco’s old bed once. She read in our activity centre and then went up for a private visit to three wards where she chatted to the children individually. She also handed out copies of her book for the kids. Some of the children in the dialysis ward recognised her from her last visit.’
Madonna, who was taking a break from her ReInvention tour, last visited the 150-year-old hospital two years ago with her husband Guy Ritchie.Article by Ben Spencer
