M-Tribe Xclusiv Preview – More Laura Pausini on Madonna
“I’ve travelled the world and lived abroad at lenght, so I feel that all the thing I’ve learned over the years from musicians, foreign musicians, producers, songwriters, are in my blood now.
One of these is Rick Nowels and then the English and American musicians who has played on this album as well as one artist in particular who gave me the opportunity to sing a new song of hers, Madonna, who wrote the song I called “Mi abbandono a te” in italian and “Me abandono a ti” in spanish”.
I didn’t expect this to happen, and it was really an exciting and inspiring collaboration for me. To be perfectly honest, at one point I didn’t think I would be up to it, so when I had to sit down and write the lyrics for example, I remember wondering with each word what she would have written as she’d be an italian, and in fact she is.
So we share the same roots, and this was especially passionating for me.”
Tribe Note on the song:
“Mi Abbandono A Te”, is a lovely new version of Like A Flower that begins with a slow guitar, that recalls the way the Madonna demo ends and a few percussions.
The arrangement is really emotional with some acapella parts and it really brings to mind the sound of Power of Goodbye especially towards the end when classic strings come in.
