Mad Rock
Go Home Productions, the producer behind some of the most interesting recent Madonna mash-up’s has just released his “Pistol Whipped” EP on March 1st through Half Inch Recordings.
The release will be a strictly limited edition white vinyl 12″ and features 2 Madonna mash ups with the Sex Pistols – a 2004 version of the track that made bootlegging cool again, “Ray of Gob” ( a radio edit and an extended mix), aswell as “Submusic“.
The release also features mixes of Electric Six and Cher, who gave the producer her full blessing to mix her 1999 hit “Believe”.
For those of you who are wondering… according to our sources Madonna heard these tracks last year when promoting “American Life” and Maverick has shown some interest. Look no further than the recent “Remixed and Revisited EP” which featured punk-rock-style remixes of the hits “Love Profusion” and “American Life” by Headcleanr.
Many recognized this as a new sound for her. Some loved it, some hated it. But the inspiration and timing of these official mixes makes it clear that the mind behind Go Home Productions is one that is effecting Madonna’s new genre exploration.
Who knows maybe Madonna will one day officially release it…or perform it on tour. it happened before with the Stuntmasterz ootleg mix of “Holiday” which was performed live during the 2001 Drowned World Tour.
