Madonna and Cesaria Evora

MadonnaTribe team member Silly_Thing wants to give Tribers more info about Cesaria Evora, the singer rumoured to be collaborating with Madonna in the near future.

In 1997 during the promotion of her film Evita, Madonna told in an interview to Portuguese television that she was a huge fan of Cesaria Evora and she knew very well her work as she was one of her favorite singers.

Cesaria Évora was born in Cape Verde – an ex-portuguese colony and she is one of the most admired divas in the world. In Cape Verde (Cabo Verde) the official language is Portuguese although a dialect called “criolo” iwhich has some similarities with the portuguse language is also spoken.
