Madonna and the audience in Manchester – Day Two
As promised here’s what happened tonight during the show. For the second time Madonna wore her new lilac costume in the first section and her Brits Do It better in Papa Don’t Preach and Crazy for you.
During Express Yourself something went wrong with her mic. During the line “What you need is a big strong hand to lift you to a higher ground” her microphone went off and when her voice came back in a very loud way, she made a very funny face.
She once again stated it was really “hot in here” while singing Material Girl and a very funny moment came up at the end of “Don’t tell me“, when she expects the public to tell her “not to stop”. She said: “I can go on as much as I want as tomorrow is my birthday“. After she thanked the audience with a “Thank you mother f*ckers”
When it was time for “Imagine“, she said the song was written a long time ago by someone who grew up not very far from Manchester, so people from nearby Liverpool in the audience started screaming the name of the city.
During Mother and Father I noticed something that I din’t read in any report before. A huge foto of a young and happy Madonna Fortin, her mother, is shown on the huge side screens after the image of Jesus.
In Holiday the male dancers took off their T-shirts while Madonna was inviting all the Arena to sing with here: All the people on the left sing Holiday, all the people on the right sing Holiday, all the people on the floor sing Holiday.
At the end of the show, before leaving to fly back to London, Madonna thanked the audience with a “Thank you Manchester” while the screen with the phrase “Re invent yourself were closing”
Anyway it was an incredible experience for me and I hope all you Tribers liked my reports from Manchester. Tomorrow I’ll leave for London, where I will try to share with all of you this Magic Madonna Tour Experience.
