Madonna in Manchester: review by Colincambo
I have been a fan since I first saw the Material Girl video. Since then would say I became one of her biggest fans in the world. Ever since that first sight, I know she had star quality more than anyone I had ever seen.
I have been on the Tribe web page every day, reading all the reviews. I was really looking forward to seeing The Reinvention tour.
Though part of me was reflection on past concerts, thinking Madonna will never top the excitement of Blond Ambition. I have to say that her performance in this new show is incredible! Everyone has spoken about her voice, saying it has never sounded so good. I was completely blown away with how powerful it really was. Her vocals on Lament, were amazing! Her dancing has NEVER been more energetic. The revolving sets where fantastic. I was shocked to see how beautiful she still looks close up.
The atmosphere was like nothing else you’ll experience. The crowd was wild. Everyone was up and dancing. (I was dripping with sweat from my head to my soaked jeans) People sang so load that at times I could here Madonna! She was in a great mood and you could tell she was feeling the energy.
This show really does out shine all the rest. Her true fans wanted to her the classics and she delivered them. People either lover her or hate her but having seen her live, she is totally underrated. Most of the press reviews were great but those that were not, just look bitter.
There is not artist on earth that could ever match such a standards. Will this be her last world tour?… I don’t think so! I’ll be back in London on 22nd to do it all again (block 38 B seat).
