Madonna returns with the classics
Madonna is touring this spring and summer and South Florida is one of only two markets (New York is the other) to luck out with two dates. The Re-Invention Tour plays Sunrise‘s Office Depot Center July 28 and then hits Miami‘s AmericanAirlines Arena Aug. 1. Kudos to promoters for remembering that there is an audience for major pop concerts in Miami-Dade, too.
Madonna tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, but if you want to be up close to the blond wonder, be prepared to find a second job. Prices for the Office Depot Center performance are $301.50, $151.50, $91.50 and $46.50 and for the AmericanAirlines Arena stop they are $302, $152, $92 and $47.
If it makes you feel any better, unlike the pretentiously artsy Drowned World Tour of 2001 in which Maddy ignored most of her hits and her audience while performing, on this tour she’s reportedly playing music from her 20-year career (but remodeled versions, hence the tour’s title).
