Madonna Ticket Madness
Pop veteran Madonna has been forced to announce her British tour dates gradually in the fear high demand for tickets will cause computers to crash.
The singer, who announced her 2004 re-INVENTION tour dates earlier last week, left 250,000 hopeful fans without tickets when her first London gig sold out within minutes.
A second date on 19 August (04) was added soon after, but seats for the show were again filled just as quickly.
An insider says, “Madonna will play five gigs in London altogether – two at Earls Court and three at wembley Arena.
“But after discussions with several ticket outlets, it became clear they’d have to be released at intervals to prevent mayhem and computer’s blowing up.
“So we’ve had to pretend that extra concerts are being added due to public demand.”
Madonna’s world tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Forum on 24 May.
