Madonna to donate a track to the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation
Sarah McLachlan, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Barry Manilow and Madonna are among the stars donating songs for “Reflections.”
“Reflections” is a CD compilation currently in-the-works that will raise funds and heighten awareness for Leeza Gibbons‘ nonprofit organization, The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.
Other top artists contributing to the benefit CD include Josh Groban, Rod Stewart, Gloria Estefan, Reba McEntire, Carole King, Enya, Leann Rimes and more. A release date has not yet been determined for the CD.
The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation serves caregivers and those recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders. Television news journalist, radio personality, producer Leeza Gibbons knows firsthand of the devastation that Alzheimer’s disease can cause a family. After the loss of her grandmother and the diagnosis of her mother, Leeza and her family created The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation to meet the growing needs of those impacted by memory disorders.
The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation has tapped SunnComm International and its subsidiary, QuietTiger Inc. to provide and sponsor the enhanced CD features and copy management on the “Reflections” CD. QuietTiger (www.quiettiger.com) will donate 100% of its technology, labor and materials to the project to benefit The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
In a press statement, Founder/Board Chair Leeza Gibbons stated “It’s great when we can use new technologies to get our important message out to the community.” Gibbons continued, “The amount of information, including videos and photographs, that we are able to include along with the songs on this “Reflections” CD is truly amazing. We are very excited about doing something truly innovative and meaningful here and we are grateful to the team at SunnComm for showing us the way.”
Some of the features included on the “Reflections” CD are a song list allowing the tracks to be saved on a personal computer, a personal letter from Leeza Gibbons, an introduction to The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and Leeza’s Place.
