Madonna Tour Set For May
Madonna’s upcoming tour will consist primarily of North American arenas, as well as 12 European shows and a stop in Israel. Details of the outing will be announced today (March 22).
The tour, to begin May 24 in Los Angeles, will be produced worldwide by Clear Channel Entertainment (CCE) under the direction of CCE Touring president Arthur Fogel. There will be no supporting acts. The setlist will be mainly a career retrospective, sources say.
At deadline, the only confirmed stops were an Aug. 18 show at London’s Earl’s Court and a Sept. 1 show at Bercy in Paris.
In 2001, Madonna grossed $75 million from 47 sellouts. That tour was also produced by CCE.
