Madonna has bought Britney Spears a “priceless” 12th century Kabbalah book to celebrate her engagement to dancer Kevin Federline.The pop icons are devout followers of the mystical offshoot of Judaism, so the Toxic singer is thrilled with the special bound edition of ZOHAR – also known as BOOK OF SPLENDOUR – and refuses to go anywhere without it.Spears says, “It paints a bigger picture than even the Bible. It’s just so interesting to me because I’ve never read stuff like this before.”An insider adds, “Britney was delighted with the book. She has read it thoroughly and seems completely taken with it. Madonna has always looked out for Britney.
“When Britney was going through a tough time earlier this year, Madonna used Kabbalah teachings to help her through.”

Spears, 22, may have difficulty with the unusual gift, since Orthodox rabbis have to study for 20 years before reading the ancient book and warn it’s too complex for anyone under 40 to comprehend.
