Madonna’s Texas-size idea

Will Madonna forsake her husband, director Guy Ritchie , for Martin Scorsese ?

Scorsese is said to be talking with Her Madgesty about playing Texas Guinan, the star of silent-movie Westerns and fabled New York speakeasy proprietor. Bette Midler, Courtney Love and others have been mentioned for the role of the woman who greeted customers by saying, ” Hello, suckers.”

Meanwhile, Madonna has joined Kabbalah enthusiasts Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher in introducing a line of Kabbalah candles. Harry Slatkin, who’s up for two FiFi fragrance awards tonight, is producing the candles, which have names like Evil Eye and Sexual Energy.

We hear Madonna will burn them on stage during her Madison Square Garden shows next week. She’s also booked a table at Solo , the new rabbinically sanctioned Mediterranean restaurant, because, owner Joey Allaham tells us, “She only eats kosher now.”
