Maverick Has Seoul

Madonna and Guy Oseary‘s Maverick Films has been busy of late, also acquiring Forsaken Seoul for Gene Rhee to direct. Maverick principal Milton Kim will produce, along with Eric Kim of EK Films.

The project is a contemporary suspense thriller set in Los Angeles and Seoul, South Korea. It centers on an orphaned hit man from America in search of his long lost brother. The contract killer falls in love and gradually begins to discover secrets from his past.

Rhee, who will also get a producing credit, adapted the project from an original work by D.V. Vleck. The writer/director is best known for his short film The Quest for Length, which screened at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. Senior vice president Brent Emery will oversee for Maverick.
