Maverick to sue Warner

Madonna‘s Maverick Records is reportedly on a collision course with the Warner Music Group. According to inside sources, principals Guy Oseary and Ronnie Dashev told the staff today the label will file a lawsuit against the label group, recently acquired by a consortium headed by Edgar Bronfman Jr. from Time-Warner, with noted celebrity attorney Bert Fields handling the action.
The suit will be filed in Los Angeles Supreme Court tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, Warner Music Group filed its own preemptive litigation in Delaware today asking declaratory relief from the charges, hoping to change the venue from California. Details to come.
