Me Against The Music wins at Billboard 2004 Awards
“Me Against The Music” by Britney Spears feat. Madonna won in the “Hot Dance sales single of the year” category at the Billboard 2004 Awards last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
R&B/hip-hop artists reigned supreme at the event, where Usher walked away with eleven trophies, Alicia Keys with seven, OutKast with five and Kanye West with four.
Maroon5 won the Digital artist of the year award and “In Da Club” by 50 Cent was named Ringtone of the year. The Destiny’s Child were honoured with the Artist Achievement Award and Stevie Wonder with the special Century Award.
Britney made a special appearance at the ceremony – her first public event since her wedding in September – and presented the rap artist of the year award.
Madonna, who is in the UK at the moment, didn’t attend the show – aired live by US TV network Fox.
