Miami – 8/2 Reflections
“I hope it isn’t too late to send this in, but I just flew back to LA and needed to share.
I went to 2 shows in New York (6/21 and 6/23) and the second night in Ft. Lauderdale (7/29). Last night’s crowd in Miami was the most incredible thing I have ever witnessed. It was an emotional experience more than just a concert. Deafeningly loud, everyone standing, screaming and singing the entire time — EVERYONE.
She was FLAWLESS last night, over-the-top and effusively thanking us and was sooooo into this crowd, saying “wow” to Monte Pittman and Stuart Price about how crazy we were.
At one point, she screamed “You guys aren’t just hot, YOU’RE ON FIRE!!!!!!” And she was right.
She thanked us for making this last show in the U.S. so “memorable” and, before singing “Imagine,” she told us that you could “really feel the electricity” in the arena. Her rendition of “Lament” was again strikingly beautiful. That is why we must have a live album from this show.
While she was being strapped into the electric chair after “Die Another Day“, she actually SPIT at one of the dancers – a huge wad of spit flew from her mouth!! How’s THAT for getting into her performance!!!??? I didn’t notice that in any other show and I haven’t seen anyone mention that in the reviews.
All in all, the most emotional demonstration of love from an audience to an artist – and vice versa – that I have ever experienced. I feel honored to have been a part of it. C’mon Europe!!! Are you ready???? I said ARE YOU READY???!!!!!”
Thank you krazyken for sharing your memories with the Tribe.
