Miami, August 1st
“Sunday night’s show in Miami was my third and final Re-Invention experience. I flew down from Atlanta for the weekend purposely to catch the show one last time before Madonna heads over to Europe to finish the tour.
Getting to the AA Arena was a total pain in the ass, and it was only complicated by a torrential down pour that seemed to last forever. After parking the car and having to run in the pouring rain, we then had to stand in a HUGE crowd outside the arena. Why there was only one entrance area for a crowd of 10,000 people in the POURING RAIN in beyond me!! It actually turned out to be a big bonding experience for all us fans outside because everyone was huddled together and trying to squeeze in under umbrellas to stay dry. Thank God Madonna held the show up for an extra 10 minutes or so because it took FOREVER to get all those soaking wet people inside.
When we made it to our seats I was completely blow away. I was able to get seats in Section 1, Row 2 – which was the closest location I had of the three shows I attended, and it was AWESOME!!! I never thought I would be so close at a Madonna concert. Second row, center is an incredible feeling that can’t be put into words very easily.
The crowd in Miami was great, with a lot of excitement and screaming going on (at least in my area). To top it off, Ricky Martin was sitting in the row directly behind me, and about two seats to my right!!! The only thought that kept crossing my mind was, “I’ve got better seats than Ricky Martin!!!” He seemed to be enjoying the show, but I did notice him sitting down for several of the songs. My friend, who was actually one seat in front of him, said that she heard him singing along to “Imagine.”
I spotted Madiva walking around on the floor in her “Vogue” costume. I can’t understand how she’s able to always be in the best location at all these shows. She must have some big-time connections or something.
Madonna was flawless (except for her mess up during “Material Girl,” which was actually really funny!) throughout the entire show and she never seems to run out of energy.
All in all, the past two weeks have been an amazing experience and I hope Madonna blows the roof off of Miami for her last U.S. show on Monday.”
