More Chicago Reviews from our readers
Reviews of the Chicago shows by fans keep coming in. Here’s what our reader Zorzo has to say:
“Hi, I attended the Chicago 7/12 show. Madonna was in top form that night and it was probably because her father was in the audience.
She made reference to him when she was explaining her “Italians do it better t-shirt,” saying that her father, who’s in the audience that night, had something to do with her being Italian.
She also said, “maybe my shirt should say, ‘midwesterners’ do it better.”
I also noticed that she changed the “rap” of Mother and Father. Instead of saying “my father had to go to work, I used to think he was a jerk,” she altered the lyrics to something else to avoid calling her father, who was a couple of rows away from the stage, “a jerk.” (anyone who was at the show know what she said?)
Madonna also toned it down a bit, and kept from swearing. Typically, she dedicates “Crazy for you” to “all my fans who have supported me for the past 20 f*cking years.” last night, she merely said “to all my fans.”
