She’s Got the Power!
The British edition of GQ magazine publishes their first annual power list, where they showcase the 100 most awe-inspiring things of 2004, including motors, such as the brand new Audi A6, a car in a class all of its own; hot models like Gisele; top technology, from the Apple PowerMac G5 to the X-43A Scramjet; the most popular porn website and the world’s top sporting hero, David Beckham, of course.
Madonna is featured at number 38, having a whole page spread with the official promo pic from the upcoming tour:
Sex Symbol: Madonna
“She’s sold more than 250 million albums, has had more Top Ten singles than any female artist in history (second only to Elvis Presley) while her ever-changing-look still commands as many column inches as the latest Princess Diana instalment.
She’s been in pop for 20 years, but her re-INVENTION tour still sold out in under an hour (even with ticket prices starting at £70). Expect her to be around forever.”
