Spring-Summer Fashion
Hindu reporters Ami Cholia and Vishwas Kulkarni wrote: The corset and floral prints make a comeback. The spring/summer collection is always about colour, skirts and floral prints. But this summer, take these warm-weather standbys to the extreme and add more feminine touches to your wardrobe. Skin is in — which explains lingerie and cleavage enhancing corsets. Embroidered and sequined t-shirts, light-weight fabrics and cascading dresses are en vogue. And more than anything else, vintage is back. Here’s what they have to say about corsets:Taking her cue from the film Dangerous Liaisons, Madonna immortalised the corset in the early 90s. Few articles of clothing have been as revered and derided as the corset. Fans of the constricting garment like the way it smoothes the torso, cinches the waist and pushes up the bust. Love them or loathe them, corsets are back in fashion, just as they were in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Wear them as an outer garment to dinner at a chic restaurant or with jeans to a nightclub. Soruce: www.mid-day.com
