Thatcher and Madonna role models for working women
Most women would ditch their full-time careers to work part-time or to become a full-time mother, according to a new survey.
A poll by Top Santé magazine showed that nine out of ten women believed they had “too many roles” and two-thirds said that getting a good work-life balance was their biggest barrier to happiness.
Editor Marina Gask, said the “have-it-all” dream had turned into a “do-it-all” nightmare.
“In reality, most women struggle to look after their family and hold down a demanding job to make ends meet”, she said.
Survey respondents said they looked up to Margaret Thatcher and Madonna as role models for working women.
