The King and The Queen

Strange coincidences do happen in pop music.
August 16 is the day in which a King died and a Queen came to life.

Elvis Presley died 27 years ago on Saturday August 16th and by coincidence, Madonna Louise Ciccone was born 46 years ago on the same day.
He still is the undisputed King of rock ‘n’ roll, and she is the long-reigning Queen of pop music.

On a side note both can be easily identified by their first name only (yes Esther counts as well) and they also share the record in Billboard magazine for most top 10 singles.
