The No-Sitting-Down Song
June2, 2004 – Anaheim
This show was great with Madonna being very energetic (two days off), and she smiled a lot during the performance. There were no mistakes tonight and the crowd was amazing, as they stood throughout the show.
Madonna addressed the audience a number of times.
Repeating before “Lament”, “I didn’t write this next song but i wish I had“.
She again said, “I want to dedicate this songs to all my fans who stuck by me through thick and thin for the past 20 years!!!”
Before “Like a Prayer“, she shouted “this is the no-sitting-down-song“. But no one was sitting at that time.
At the start of “Material Girl“, she said, “now I’m gonna sing you a very old song and I forget the lyrics so I want you to sing along with me.”
The only changes during this show, was the music of “Nothing Fails” changed a bit, more guitar and shouted ‘Orange County‘ or ‘O.C.’.
During the “Lament” performance, she acted more. Fighting while being strapped in the chair, and giving a hurtful look after she was tied into the chair.
Overall this in this performance, Madonna looked happier, rested, confident and smiled a lot. Great show.
